Case study: website design and customer journey
From a treatment list to a reassuring digital front desk
The care at Skincerely was already there. The old website simply did not let a new client feel it. For someone considering an unfamiliar skin treatment, a list of procedures can raise more questions than it answers. The remake needed to offer the same warmth and attention they would meet in the clinic.
My role: Strategy, copy, brand identity, graphic design, website design and build, and integrations.
A treatment menu is not reassurance
Skin clinics often have long treatment menus filled with unfamiliar terminology. A visitor can be interested and still leave because she is unsure what applies to her, whether a treatment will hurt, or whether the clinic will actually listen.
From uncertainty to a booking
I shaped the website around the questions clients ask before they book. Treatments are explained through outcomes and concerns rather than equipment alone. Clear booking points, FAQs, customer reviews and reassuring copy work together with a warm visual direction that feels professional without becoming impersonal.
Sometimes the business has moved on and the website hasn’t. I wrote about how to notice the gap.
What worries a first-time client?
We looked beyond the request for a better-looking site. What might stop someone from booking: the unfamiliar treatment name, the worry that it will hurt, or the fear of being sold something they do not need? The owner’s care and those real questions guided the explanations, visual tone and places to book.
A site worth sharing again
Skincerely already had a site, but it did not reflect the treatment experience or the owner’s care. I redesigned its visual direction and copy to feel professional, warm and reassuring. A remake can change how comfortable an owner feels sending someone a link, as well as what that visitor sees.
A calmer route to booking
Treatment names alone ask a new client to know too much. I organised explanations around the concerns people bring, with reviews, practical answers and booking points in the places they are needed. The site can answer more questions before a client has to call.
