Case study: digital ecosystem, editorial strategy and search

One digital home for an institute, event space, library, course and shop

Sensual Institute holds books, gatherings, courses and a substantial body of knowledge about embodiment. A curious reader might arrive with one question; a returning student might be ready for a longer journey. The site had to welcome both, then help each find their way through a world with real depth.

My role: Strategy, research and authorship of every article in the Sensual Encyclopedia, copy, brand identity, graphic design, website design and build, and integrations.

An institute with many doors

This is the kind of project that can easily fracture into separate event tools, sales pages, course platforms, libraries and login areas. That creates friction for visitors and makes the organisation look smaller and less established than the work really is. The subject matter also requires an unusual balance of intimacy, clarity and trust.

A reference with its own depth

I created the Sensual Encyclopedia as a glossary of more than 500 entries, and researched and wrote its articles. Its structure lets readers move between connected ideas instead of losing them in a long alphabetical list. To my knowledge, it is a unique reference devoted to sensual literacy; the value here is the depth of the work and how readily people can use it.

A deep library deserves to be understood. I wrote more about how AI tools may interpret a site’s expertise.

Five hundred entries, one useful map

The question was not how to fill a glossary. It was how a reader could arrive with a word they barely understand and find a thoughtful explanation, related ideas and a sensible next step. I researched and wrote the Sensual Encyclopedia’s 500-plus entries, and organised them as part of the wider learning and sales journey.

A reference people can move through

I created and wrote the Sensual Encyclopedia as a glossary of more than 500 entries. The work was not simply to publish a large number of pages: related ideas need clear names, useful explanations and ways back into the wider institute. The editorial architecture supports readers and search discovery alike.

Publishing, learning and buying in one place

I organised the ecosystem around distinct visitor intentions: explore ideas, find an event, begin a guided experience, understand the methodology, buy a book or enter a protected participant area. Research content, event listings, testimonials, audio, products and calls to action share one visual and verbal language.

Books, courses and events in one place

The institute brings events, books, courses and guided experiences together. I connected WooCommerce, Tutor LMS and email sequences so people can explore, choose and continue across one coherent journey. Enrolment, purchase and follow-up can happen without the owner manually carrying every step.

A search milestone for the Sensual Encyclopedia

The encyclopedia gives a broader understanding of sensuality a public reference point: sensory attention, embodiment, pleasure, beauty, relationship and meaning. Sexuality is one possible dimension of that field, rather than its complete definition. This was deliberate editorial and search work by I Love My Website. In a project-team Google check for “Sensual Encyclopedia” on 27 September 2026, Sensual Institute appeared as the first website result.

Evidence note: This is a dated observation reported by the project team, not a controlled ranking study or a measured revenue result. Results vary by location, language, device and date. This project belongs to a connected, founder-led creative ecosystem.
